Dubai wellness real estate gains momentum as healthy living shapes demand

Dubai’s luxury property market is increasingly being driven by a growing demand for health and wellness-focused living, with developers integrating features that promote healthier lifestyles into residential communities. According to the Global Wellness Institute (GWI) Initiative Trends 2026 report, wellness real estate is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the global wellness economy and is expected to surpass $1 trillion by 2029.

The UAE has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing wellness real estate markets, expanding from $3.3 billion in 2017 to $14.6 billion in 2025, accounting for over 12% of the country’s construction activity, with more than 555,000 wellness-focused homes planned across the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

As buyer preferences shift toward healthier, more sustainable lifestyles, developers are embracing concepts such as neuroarchitecture, natural materials, walkable communities, and designs that enhance physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Industry leaders believe wellness is no longer a luxury feature but an essential component of modern residential developments, with Dubai well positioned to lead this global transformation through innovation, collaboration, and a strong focus on creating communities that support long-term health, wellbeing, and quality of life.
